It comes as police say the actress showed no evidence of injuries when police arrived at her home on Saturday night.
Addressing the incident, an LAPD officer said: "On May 21, police responded to a domestic incident radio call.
“The person reporting did not insist on a report nor was there any evidence provided by the victim that warranted a report.
"Officers conducted an investigation and determined that a crime did not occur. The officers cleared the scene and left a business card."
Amber - who filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences - claims she has been the victim of domestic violence after the 52-year-old actor allegedly smashed his iPhone into her face.
In a picture submitted to the court in Los Angeles Amber can be seen with bruises around her eyes.
Amber said in a written declaration that she had "endured excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse" during their 15-month marriage.
Depp's lawyers have responded, denying the allegations and claiming the restraining order and request for financial support "appears to be in response to the negative media attention she received earlier this week".

In a written response to the court, Johnny's lawyer said: "Amber is a successful model and actress who earns her own income and is capable of supporting herself.
She added that she understood Johnny would be out of the country working in Spain "for the next several weeks and will not return before June 7".
A statement from representatives following the divorce filing read: "Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life.
"Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly."
